3Z Pharmaceuticals - Reykjavík, Iceland

In 2006, Karl Karlsson and Haraldur Thorsteinsson conducted research on the sleeping patterns of zebrafish at the Reykjavik University Neurolab. This research served as the foundation for 3Z Pharmaceuticals, which the two founders established in 2008. 3Z Pharmaceuticals provides research services for drug development, including drug screening assays for sleep and epilepsy. Through this, they are able to evaluate multiple aspects of drug efficacy and toxicity, ultimately allowing patients to receive treatments for neurological disorders.
