Silent Flyer - Reykjavík, Iceland

The Silent Flyer is a revolutionary autonomous drone that uses flapping flight instead of propellers for lift and propulsion. Its unique wings can be independently controlled in real-time to flap, tilt, move back and forth, and morph. The wings can even be folded for easy transportation. In the future, this wing design will enable the device to hover. Combining the features of both multi-rotor devices, such as quad-copters, and fixed-wing airplanes, the Silent Flyer was developed in collaboration with Reykjavik University.
